All things in life come with an expiration.
The exquisite things occur with exorbitant cost
We pay in blood and the tears that paint our woes... This sadness reaps what it sows.

I will rise, above this.
I am a man of peace.
With a knife in my back... the clouds cast above my head,
storming torrential winds of sorrow.
This all, too, shall pass...

To pick up the pieces with nothing left, wasting time and conscious effort on the past.
Two wrongs don't make a right, we're all the same...
To move on and forget the pain once endured,
the truest struggle is within.

"Your cowardice has shown its face to the world. The cold embrace of loss has taken its toll on you
I'll be waiting here in hell for you to follow... Will you cast the next stone?"

The heart aches, from what is done. I have lost all will to go on.
The remnants of my heart lay dormant below the rubble and dust of the aftermath that has amassed on my shoulders.

This too shall pass, the winds shall blow forth, the storm has occurred and relentlessly choked my throat with its hand, this pain I can't stand... The ending of something so delicate.

"Give into the temptation of vengeance, destroy all that has once destroyed yourself.
Give into the temptation of violence and fight back against fear".

Cortexiphan is an internet-based technical death metal band formed in November 2012, by Steven Rose (US) and Dixon Jong (Malaysia). After the first EP, they were joined by Nicolò Paracchini (Italy) on bass in December 2012 and began working on their upcoming album, Iniquitous.
